HELP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN 

Job Profile:

  • Regular maintenance of Microsoft Based servers including 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers
  • Performing general desktop maintenance like virus scanning, defragmentation etc. in Windows 7, XP and Windows 8 environment
  • Occasional setup and maintenance of Hardware based Firewall and VPN
  • Answering support related emails and phone-calls for clients
  • Setting up Software and hardware deployment
  • Setting up Remote Desktop via RDP and other medium

BASIC REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 
Network Administration:

  • Knowledge of working in, and managing, Microsoft Server environments
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP servers
  • Working knowledge of Backups, Firewalls, and VPN
  • Experience providing Desktop Support on Windows systems, to include MS Office Suites

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Good Problem solving skills
  • Good work ethic
  • Fast learner
  • Work independently with little oversight

Education/Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in a technical field is preferred, however, experience and certifications will be considered as a replacement or equivalent
  • MCP and/or Cisco certified is a plus
  • Minimum 1-year experience in relevant field
